Weather of Destin

Well, sorry about the wait.
  A couple of posts ago, I talked about how people didn't realize how cold it got in Destin. When I gave specific degrees, my Northernly friends were amazed. So here goes.
  This past weekend I went with my Boy Scout Troop 508 and went camping. We did a 10 mile hike on Saturday after camping Friday night and left Sunday morning. A two night campout. The first night it was below freezing temperature. 28 degrees, 30, around that range. The next night wasn't much better. I also talked about how the weather jumps, and that was how it was! One day, beach going temperature, round 70 degrees, happy happy. Next day BAM, 40-50 degrees, don't even want to look outside! Of course, those days when its 60 I think is best. Only when its sunny, though, cause if you're running around outside, the sun warms you and the cold air cools you. Perfect. Now yesterday, it was fairly sunny. It was beautiful outside, with great clouds, (which I call Florida Mountains,) wispy clouds, and blue sky. Today: Foggy, humid, and rainy. Can't even see the ocean from Old 98 it was so foggy!
  Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I love rain, cold I think is a gift from God, and sunshine is great! Plus a little change is good! More change I like, cause it makes things interesting! Humidity, matters which mood I'm in. Normally I like it though!
  So when you're visiting Destin in the winter, make sure to pack a fleece and a wind layer, as well as some bathing suits. You never know what you're gonna wake up to, and never trust the 30% chance of rain. I hear that and I know its gonna rain.
