Star Wars the Old Republic

For those of you who find video games offensive and against your religion, please skip this post as you might find this offensive. For those of you who do, welcome!

Now, anyone who knows me personally will know I like video games. I find them interesting, amusing, and above all a challenge. I'm very competitive, and I find fighting computers better than fighting people I know, cause I can get mad at a computer all I want. I don't like getting mad, but better at a computer than a person. I hate being angry with people.
I've played many types of video games. First Person Shooters, MMORPGs, (Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games, example: World of Warcraft) RPGs, arcade, racing, social, all kinds. But one thing I must admit, is that SWTOR by far trumps them all. It is a MMORPG, and I enjoy playing it like all get out! It has several different classes, each with their own individual storylines, customizable companions, who talk and craft things for you, excellent pvp, a fantastic exploring system, and you can do space battles with your starship! And its Star Wars! WOOT! (which means wow loot! if you didn't know) Star Wars is beast! One of my favorite worlds, or universes ever! This game give you a wide variety of species, and man are some of them weird! Some of the species you find range from giant insects to humanoid rats!
Now for the most part, I realize that video games in of themselves are a waste of time. I understand that. It doesn't add anything to the real world, any relationships you build on there probably won't lead to anything other than a good raid partner, yadda yadda dah. I also know that video games are problem solving, which stretches your brain (and fingers) to figure out the problem.
Just to get this out, I am a Christian, and proud of it! I love Jesus Christ my Lord and I want to follow him better. So after my subscription wears out, for the time being, I'm going to lay computer games aside. This'll probably shock my friends into paralysis for about three seconds. And that's not a good thing. For a month, I'm not going to play any video games, whatsoever. This is me proving to myself I can control myself, and that I value God higher than video games. I also know that video games are my weak spot. I am tempted during video games more than I am tempted anytime else. So that is what is going on with me.
I hope that whoever is reading this finds this illuminating, and may help you with your life. If you're not a Christian and you're wondering why the heck I would even consider doing this, I suggest you read the New Testament of the Bible. The Old Testament is history, and explains how we get to Christ. The New Testament talks about how Jesus lived, died, and rose again. It talks about eternal salvation for those who trust and follows Jesus, and how we are to love one another. The two things that are first and foremost is that 'You love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul.' and then 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' After these two, everything will fall into place.
God bless you guys, and seeya later!
